Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc.

An all volunteer community supported non-profit organization

providing Meals on Wheels to the Venice FL area since 1969

    

Our Mission


To deliver a warm, nutritious noon time meal, daily except Sunday, to any person in the Greater Venice, Florida area

unable to prepare a meal because of a physical or mental disability, regardless of their financial situation.

 
There are no age restrictions.
 
Mobile Meals Service
Our service is available
as long as needed.

The meal consists of about 800 calories, including entree, vegetables, salad and dessert.

Fruit is provided as desert for diabetics.

Meals are not subject to choice,
but vary daily.


Cost per meal $2.75
($3.00 effective June 2012)

The meal cost is minimal and each recipient is billed monthly. 
No one is refused service because of inability to pay.  

The meal expense we incur is paid by recipient payments for meals, and by donations made to Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc.
Service Area

Extends from Blackburn Point Road in Osprey
to Manasota Beach Road in South Venice,
from the Gulf of Mexico to I-75 and River Road.

Meals are prepared daily on the
premises of Village on the Isle in
Venice, FL.
 
 
Hot entrees are quickly distributed to drivers
and packed into insulated containers for delivery.
 
 
An average of 165 meals and friendly
conversation are delivered each day.


 

Meals are delivered
6 days a week, 52 weeks a year,
holidays included.

Eating Well at Any Age

 

Meal Call points out that eating isn't as easy as it should be. People may have physical issues making it hard to obtain, prepare, eat or digest food. You can ask for help.
